Day 06 Jingzhou
Included Viking River Cruises School Visit: After breakfast, disembark in Jingzhou for an exclusive visit to a school renovated by Viking River Cruises. This will be a unique opportunity to meet local children and gain insight into education in rural areas. Scenic Cruising: Return to the ship for lunch, and continue cruising towards the Three Gorges Dam. The ship docks overnight at Yellow Ox Temple.Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 07 Three Gorges Dam Sandouping & Xiling Gorge
Included Three Gorges Dam Tour & Lock Passage: After breakfast, disembark in the town of Sandouping for a tour of the great dam. After your visit to the dam, return to the ship for lunch. After lunch, the ship navigates the largest locks in the world on the world’s largest dam. The passage through these 5-stage locks takes a full five hours and dramatically highlights the immense scope of the project. After passage through the dam, the ship cruises through the longest of the Three Gorges, Xiling. Lined with recipitous cliffs, Xiling is known for its many smaller gorges and caves. The ship docks overnight at Badong.

Day 08 Qutang & Wu Gorges, Lesser Three Gorges Scenic Cruising & Included Lesser Three Gorges Excursion:

During breakfast, the ship sails through Wu Gorge. Lush, mist-enshrouded mountains, including the legendary Twelve Peaks, rise up on both sides. After breakfast, board a sightseeing vessel for a cruise on the Daning River into
the exquisite Lesser Three Gorges. Some of the Yangtze’s most beautiful scenery lies in these gorges that are inaccessible by larger vessels. You’ll enjoy a picnic luncheon on the riverbank during your excursion. Scenic Cruising: Return to the ship in the afternoon, and start sailing to Fengdu. In the early evening you will cruise through Qutang Gorge. This spectacular gorge is the shortest and narrowest (less than 500 feet at its widest) of the Three Gorges. Enjoy dinner onboard. The ship sails overnight towards Fengdu.

Day 09 Fengdu
Included Snow Jade Cave Tour: The ship has docked at Fengdu, known as the City of Ghosts. After breakfast, disembark for a tour of Snow Jade Cave, a wonderland of breathtaking limestone formations and colorful pools. If you prefer, you may choose to join another group for a visit to the Fengdu Resettlement Village rather than visiting Snow Jade Cave. Return to the ship for lunch and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure and an evening of cruising.
